The Pine City Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes you! In the summer of 2006, we proudly celebrated our 125th Birthday of the City of Pine City and look forward to the continued growth of our city. Located one hour north of the Minneapolis/St.Paul area and 90 miles south of Duluth, Pine City enjoys easy access to big town features while maintaining its small town atmosphere. Situated on the banks of the Snake River near its junction with Cross Lake, Pine City also enjoys nearby Pokegama Lake that lies west of the city. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the Upper and Lower Snake Rivers and the St. Croix River located to the east toward Wisconsin. Over 50 miles of shoreline and 3,000 acres of navigable waterway make Pine City an attractive recreation area. The Chengwatana State Forest and nearby St. Croix State Park allow residents and visitors to pursue camping, hiking, cross country skiing and other outdoor activities. Visitors looking for a relaxing afternoon picnic have many options here in the Pine City. Spend the day at the beach and enjoy the picnic shelter, swimming area, basketball courts, skateboard park and horseshoe pits. Stop in at Voyageur Park on the north end of the city where you can find a fishing pier and gazebo area while admiring the Voyageur Statue. Downtown, Robinson Park offers a new playground for the kids as well as a large gazebo area – great for family picnics. The Pine City Arts Council offers free concerts at Robinson every Friday night throughout the summer. Enjoy your visit. You'll like it here! |
