PRC of Pine City

The Pregnancy Resource Center of Pine City has experienced a number of changes over the last year, and is excited about the direction that they are headed.  The PRC is a Christian, pro-life organization that has been serving the community since it first opened its doors in 1980 in a small office on the second floor of the local theater in downtown Pine City.  Just 30 years later and three locations later, the Center moved into its newest location last summer in the lower level of the Pine Government Center.   In January 2011, the Center welcomed a new Executive Director, Angela Haug, to handle the daily operations of the Center.

Even with these changes, there is one thing that hasn’t changed – the quality of service that is provided to the clients.  In today’s current economic outlook, the demand for services provided by the Pregnancy Resource Center are continually increasing which means more funding is needed.  The PRC currently receives no state funding and is operated entirely on private grants and personal donations.  “Our biggest need is for Dollar-a-Day Donors for the Pregnancy Resource Center,” says Executive Director Angela Haug.  “We have an excellent group of volunteers we just need the financial support to continue to meet the needs of our clients.”

The Center has an excellent program for mothers and fathers to “Earn While You Learn”.  By attending classes, doctor visits, and other appointments, the clients can earn incentive points to purchase items for their baby in PRC’s client shop.
