Administrative Assistant at City of Pine City

The City of Pine City is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant.  This is full-time position, responsible for Assisting the City Administrator by administering various programs, policies and human resource activities, including utility billing, licensing, public relations, records management, state reporting requirements, revenue receipts/banking, personnel policies, labor relations and negotiations. Minimum qualifications include: 

  • Candidate should possess a high school diploma or its equivalent with a minimum of five to seven years progressively responsible administrative experience and/or an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration or related field with at least two years’ experience in administrative/support duties. 

Desired qualifications include: 

  • Certified Municipal Clerk designation.
  • The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Minnesota’s statutory record retention schedule.
  • Three to five years of municipal government experience and preparation of Council and/or committee minutes.

Beginning salary is $17.37 per hour plus a full benefit package. After the six-month probationary period the wages would go to $17.86 per hour.
