Position Description:

Pine Technical and Community College is seeking a Recruitment and Admissions Specialist.  This position is responsible for the recruitment of prospective students, as well as assisting students throughout the stages in the enrollment funnel to registration. The enrollment funnel includes the following critical processes: Inquiry Generation, Prospect Management, Application Development, and Admission to Enrollment. The primary objective is to meet or exceed enrollment goals established by the Strategic Enrollment Management Team and administrative leadership.

Principle Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for conversion and yield rates (Prospects to Applicants and Applicants to Enrollment). Assist prospective students through the admissions process. Maintain accurate record-keeping, follow-up and advance recruitment information distributed to prospective students. Secure enrollment of prospective students. Work with incomplete applicants to ensure they submit required documentation for acceptance to institution. Assist in the enrollment team efforts as needed to increase and maintain enrollment in the college. Partner with Academics to assist students enrolling
    in programs with unique admissions requirements with an emphasis on technical programs such as manufacturing, welding, automated systems and gunsmithing.
  2. Regularly review enrollment data, conversion, and yield rates and evaluate data to determine strengths and areas of need. Assist in the research of college, high school and other regional demographic trends to guide recruitment planning efforts. Assist with identification/tracking of target population.
  3. Review and evaluate recruitment activities, communications and special events to assess effectiveness and ensure alignment with the marketing and enrollment plan. Identify target recruitment sites according to enrollment trends/analysis. Prepare, communicate, and distribute timely, effective and professional recruitment materials to interested students, parents, schools, colleges, businesses, and community groups.
  4. Coordinate all off-campus recruiting activities and assist Enrollment Specialist with on-campus events and activities. Implement PTCC recruiting activities as outlined in the college’s enrollment management plan. Visit regional middle and high schools to provide information and advising. Speak to groups and individual students to promote the college and its programs and services. Attend special events and fairs; seek other venues for recruitment efforts.
