Greater Pine Endowment Plans “Big Idea” Session

Last July the Greater Pine Area Endowment launched an online survey to gather input from the Pine City Community on their “Big Ideas” for a service program or project that would promote a sense of community pride and success, improve the quality of life in our community, and be a proactive partner in leading economic development.  (The vision of the GPAE board.)  The board received 55 individual submissions as part of this survey.  These community responses were organized into 5 recurring themes and we are ready to present these ideas to the community.

The first step in our presentation will be a Community Meeting for local partners: city staff, school administration, local organizations, chamber of commerce members, etc. Each of these local organizations received an invitation earlier this month to attend the presentation on Thursday, January 31st from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

The purpose at the first meeting will be to join in a discussion of these “Big Ideas” and work toward a consensus on one idea for implementation in 2019.  We hope that this collaboration will create an opportunity for partnership with other service or government organizations.  The GPAE community fund will contribute start-up funds towards the project.

The GPAE board looks forward to working with organizations to help put a spark in the steps of our community.  Growth is happening, and we want your input on what BIG IDEA you will endorse to drive that growth forward.

So that we may plan effectively for our space and meal, we ask that each organization RSVP with the names of their representatives by Friday, January 25th to Becky Schueller at 320.322.4040 or [email protected].
